Not allowed to change initial conditions of L and C

Hello,

I am trying out OrCAD Capture CIS Lite 16.6 and I would like to have my transient response convert as soon as possible since I am designing a gating circuit for a switching converter and would like to see the switching behaviour in steady state.

I thought a good way to speed up simulation is to set the inductor initial currents and capacitor initial voltages. Found somewhere that this can be done by entering a value into the IC (initial condition value) parameter. However this parameter is blocked. Is this because I am on a trial version?

I also tried adding series voltage sources to the capacitors and parallel current sources to the inductors, but then the initial voltages and currents alter in such a way that the capacitor starts with -V voltage, where V is the voltage of my voltage source and the same happens with the inductor current.

Also tried changing manually the bias current and voltage value of an adjoining node, but that just gets reset when I start the simulation.

Any ideas anyone?
