Re-organize schematic page tabs in Capture

Hi,

Is there a way to re-order schematic page tabs?

I find it very confusing the way it works - especially when opening multiple projects where tabs from different projects can mix. currently for what I see tabs order depend solely on the order they were opened.

in the pic, opening a page from svr_tc opens a tab after tr_sv_long project

I'm using the current latest version 17.2 with latest hotfix (s002)

Thanks

    Hi Omar,

Did you get an answer on this?  In Cadence 16.6, I was able to left-click the page tab and drag it to whatever position.  However, on Cadence CIS 17.2-2016, the page gets locked in position and I cannot drag it like I used to.  Any help pn this, if you have found the answer, would be appreciated.

    Thx.

Add a numerical prefix to your page names such as 01_, 02_, 03_ etc

Thanks. I had already done what you had suggested. However, I wanted to move a Page Tab once the page was already opened. That is for example if Pg 1, Pg 2 and Pg 4 were opened and then I open Pg 3, it would go after Pg 4 tab. I wanted to be able to move that Pg 3 tab to go between Pg 2 and Pg 4 without closing the pages and opening them again in the desired order.

This is not currently supported (and it never has been in 16.6 either). There are enhancement requests for this in with Cadence so if you want this to happen raise an enhancement request with Cadence / Cadence Channel Partner. The tabs currently are ordered in the order you open the pages.
