OrCAD Capture - is there a way to replace selected parts on a schematic with a different part from a library?

I have an OrCAD Capture schematic that has a number of 1k resistors throughout the design.  i need to replace many of them with 2.2k resistors.  The parts are from a library (each value/type is an individual part, one part is a 1k 0402, another is a 2.2k 0402 etc), I am not using a CIS database.  I can't replace/update the cached 1k part, as that would change all of the 1k parts in the design, and I only want to change some of them.  Is there a way to do this within Capture, or does anyone have a TCL script that will allow me to do this?  I want to preserve the REFDES when doing this replace, and not have to replace each part manually and then manually fix the REFDES.

Any help/suggestions appreciated,

Austin

Hi Austin, I also encounter same issue i.e. looking to change some components to new library part. If doing so with Orcad cache then it will change all parts regardless of the reference designator. I tried to use below command which is also discussed above with no success. Nothing happened in the Orcad. Moreover, below syntax does not contain old part field so I am not sure which part will get replace until it works.

    ReplacePart(libName, pkgName, partName, device)

I also tried below command but Orcad flags error as " 1]No matching function for overloaded 'DboPage_ReplaceInst'". Appreciate if could shed some light on this. I put so much time with below syntax without any success. There is no example given in the documentation as well. Really got fed up.

    set src_pkg_name "CAPACITOR_NP"
    set src_pkg_name [DboTclHelper_sMakeCString]

    set lib_part "LIBRARY.OLB/CAPACITOR_NP"
    set lib_part [DboTclHelper_sMakeCString]

    set device [$lPlacedInst GetDevice $lStatus]

    $lPage ReplaceInst $lPlacedInst $src_pkg_name $lib_part $device $lStatus 0 0 0 1
