Hi,

I have problem in creating footprints for which I created custom parts in my custom library. How can I create footprints for that custom parts and assign them to particular parts?

Help me on this.

To add the footprint to a part in Capture, double click the Part (or select, right click - Edit Properties) and populate the Value of the Property PCB Footprint with the name of your footprint so if it's called SOIC20 then that would be the value. To make a footprint here's a video, the first part is going through a wizard but keep watching and you'll see how to do this manually. www.youtube.com/watch;t=402s. Make sure your footprints are stored in the correct location. Look at orcad.co.uk/.../Defining_padpath_psmpath.pdf for how to set the padpath and psmpath.
