Greetings,

How to "print to file" the schematic as pdf?  Or some way to save schematic as pdf format?

Thanks for any suggestions.

You will have to install a PDF-printer, that is , a piece of software that will act as a printer, but will output .PDFs instead. Examples are CutePDF, or Adobes full Acrobat software. Once installed, you will be able to browse amongst the printers, and find the PDF writer as one of the options.

If you are on 17.2 and are using OrCAD Capture then try File - Export PDF. If it's 16.6 then Accessories - Cadence Tcl/Tk Utilities - Utilities then PDF Export. You'll need to setup a postscript to PDF printer (like Ghostscript) to get these working. This creates an Intelligent PDF file that allows your to query parts for properties, descend hierarchies all through the PDF. If it's DE-HDL then there is a File - Publish PDF (you'll need a PDF license for this).
