CIP

We installed CIP a few weeks ago but haven’t worked out all of the details yet. We imported the data from our Microsoft Access database into SQL. I have it setup on my computer but haven’t pushed it out to everyone else yet. The problem I just discovered concerns legacy schematics. After I update all parts status and try to pull it into Allegro I get the following error: ERROR (ORCIS-6277): Part C186 on the schematic page - has no part number property. I get this for every part.

In our Access database we used assigned part number to MFGR_PN. In the new database I used PART_NUMBER as the part number property name. Is it possible to assign two different properties to part number in the config file?

I'm pretty sure this isn't possible BUT when you import the legacy data using the CIP Importer can you not map the MFGR_PN to PART_NUMBER then going forward you can still just use PART_NUMBER...

I'm afraid I may have to do the entire import process again and continue to use MFGR_PN as the part number.
