step package mapping

I want to add step packages to parts in the library so I don't have to map these each time.

If I do from the library, is there a shortcut to see them placed on a PCB, so I can verify the XYZ?

That is what the "preview" pane is about. Enable the "Overlay" to see the Package and STEP superimposed and then use the "View" to view the mapping from various perspectives, Front / Left and so on. 3D view in the Package can also be used to confirm the mapping settings. You could place the Package Symbol in a Board to confirm but you would need to switch PCB Editor to Board editing, rather than Symbol editing to do this (and this isn't really necessary).

The way X Y Z is presented is confusing, but overall it seems to work. Thanks.
