Need to update pin numbers on layout part

I have a layout part that I need to change pin numbers on. How can I change a pin number? If it's showing as pin 1 for example, and I want to change it to pin 1?

You would need to edit the Footprint in PCB Editor with the DRA file open. Pin Number text is the only location of the Pin Number in the Symbol, set Pin Number to be Visible, needs Pin Visible as well, Text only in Find, to avoid any "accidental" changes, hover mouse over Pin Number text and right-click>Text Edit and set the new text value, as required. Following convention, if the new Pin Number already exists the Text values will swap.

Thank you for your help. Even with the benefit of your direction, this seems to me to be exceptionally frustrating and unduly complicated process. I most likely will not remember all these steps if I ever have to do this again.
