Help with understanding of vsin source in PSPICE

Note from moderator - this was part of another thread in the Custom IC Design forum but was inappropriate for that forum, so moved to the PCB Design forum.

Hi, can you explain one moment. I'm trying to get simple sin wave and use VSIN and simple resistor in my circuit, Voff=0V, Vamp=220V, Freq=60Hz, AC=220V.

And i have 0 volts in my circuit, what's wrong with this source?

Thank you

First of all, please read the forum guidelines - they ask you to not post on the end of old threads, and also to provide enough information - you've not really done that.

    A few questions:

    1. Please provide a screenshot of the edit properties form (you can upload that in the Rich Text editor) for the vsin
    2. Which simulator are you using?
    3. What does the netlist look like (for the vsin source) (Simulation->Netlist->Display Netlist)? Please make sure you copy and paste it exactly as it shows in here.
    4. What do you get if you type cdsGetNetlistMode() in the Command Interpreter Window.
    5. What do you have if you use Options->Tool Filter in the schematic editor - is the simulator you're using checked in that list?
    6. Finally, in the library manager, over the library name for analogLib (assuming you're using vsin from analogLib), if you do Right Mouse->Properties what does it show for the path to the analogLib library?

    Regards,

    Andrew.

You've posted this in the wrong forum. Orcad questions should go in the PCB Design forum rather than the Custom IC Design forum - this is the importance of specifying which tool you're using, and starting a new thread. I'll see if I can split this thread into a new one and then move to the right forum.

    Andrew.

You likely need to Edit the Simulation Profile and change the Analysis Type From Bias Point to Time Domain (Transient), set the "Run to Time" to, say 32m(s) and a Maximum Step Size of 100u. AC is only used for AC Sweep, the value would conventionally be 1(V) pk to pk.
