3D Step file creation in Allegro?

Is there a way to create a 3D part step file in Allegro during a part creation?
If relying on other software tools is required then when will this feature be incorporated?

Thank you-

OK, I see the silk screen on one of my boards, but not the other so it does work (at least on one board I designed.)

Another question -  do I have to assign the step file to each part on each board or does it carry once I set it up on a board.

It would be a real pain to have to constantly do this for each board design.

    thanks again,

No the recommendation is to map the step model at the library stage, so open the filename.dra and map it there, then every time you use the footprint the step model is already mapped. You can use Export - Libraries from the board file and the step mapping should be stored in the exported filename.dra file - which might save you some time and FYI the silkscreen outline was part of 17.2-2016 S009 (QIR2) and the silkscreen text was 17.2-2016 016 (QIR3). You need to invoke the new 3d viewer to see these so setup - user preferences - unsupported - interactive_3d_canvas.
