Mirror printing and copy

I need to print out the top layer in mirror plot orientation, but when I do it some padstacks are gone. If I print out the same plot in normal orientation the padstacks are there. How can I solve this?

Also, I would like to print out some copies of this plot on the same sheet in order to save material, but it is not possible to copy and paste. Does the replicate option mean that I have to make the complete circuit again in the schematic?

I realized that by choosing mirror orientation, all the SMD components go to the bottom layer. How can I print out the top layer in mirror orientation?

There is a couple ways to accomplish what you are looking for but I would recommend exporting a PDF file of the layers and use the Print option in Adobe Reader to control how many layers are placed on one page.

The PDF Export uses the Artwork Film Records, which is required for manufacturing output, so it is pretty simple to generate a PDF file of all the layers quickly at the end of the project.

Before outputting the PDF File the Film Records would need to be reviewed to ensure the PDF Sequence on each Film Record correctly define the page order of the PDF Export.

For your mirror print requirement, the Film Record has an option "Film mirrored" to mirror the output, you could temporarily enable on any Film Record you like when creating the PDF file BUT you must remember to disable it before output manufacturing data. (Suggest saving the design first, making the adjust the "Film mirrored" option, export the PDF File and do not save the design)

File > Export > PDF or Export > PDF or type command pdf out
Allegro PDF Publisher dialog will show the Available Films based on the PDF Sequence, select the films you want to output, make any settings adjustments and click Export.

    Hope this helps,

    Mike Catrambone

Thank you for taking the time. However, I would like to know if there is another normal easy way to do it, like in other software. Besides, the pdf exporting option is not available with the Orcad license that my university gave me.

To print the top side "mirrored" set the colors to match what you want then use File - Print Setup and enable the mirror checkbox. Then File - Print and print as you would normally. To combine all the items together if you don't have the PDF Publisher try http://orcadmarketplace.com/ProductDetails/tabid/93/ProductID/12/Default.aspx.

    Thank you for replying.

In fact, I checked the mirror box in the print-setup option, but when I do that the SMD components are gone. How can I keep them?
