single layer pcb

I'm trying to create a single-layer flex pcb in allegro and cannot seem to delete the second layer from the cross section editor. Am I missing something obvious? (Allegro 17.2)

That would be correct but you can generate Artwork films for only the layer(s) used and ignore generating any output for Bottom, for example. You could have a Route Keepout on Bottom, for example, to prevent connections, this could be "all over" and not necessarily "just" match the Design Outline.

Thats fine for generating artwork, however I can't generate an accurate cross-section diagram if I can't delete a layer. Is there really no way have only a single layer in the cross section?

I'm having the same issue as this.  Was a solution ever found?

The only solution I've found is to manually delete the layers in the cross-section diagram. The whole thing seems wonky
