Allegro PCB - Command window 'SYNTAX ERROR'

entangled
entangled over 8 years ago

Hi

I have some error outputs every time I open Allegro PCB Designer either through a file (double-click) or by a Windows Shortcut.

I attach a small txt file with a dump of this "log".

Is any of these an indication of potential malfunctioning/ problem? Should I just ignore them?

Best Regards,

Andreas

Yes, this is a potential malfunction since it looks like your Skill Path won't be set to load any custom SKILL routines but, you may not care. It's possible that your Windows User name contains an illegal character, at least as far as PCB Editor is concerned. Start PCB Editor and use Setup>User Preferences, use the Search for Skill to locate Skill Path and edit the preference to remove the path with the issue. In recent versions Skill Path is no longer a preference so you may need to check the pcbenv folder for an allegro.ilint, or env, file which could be holding the setting (They are both text files)
