Counter Bore/Sink From Opposite Side

Hi Folks,

Anyone use the new feature which allow you to define the counter bore/sink in the Padstack editor?

Right now it is allowing you to define it from Top side but if i need it to define from bottom side, then what i need to do?

Thanks

Khurram

Place the padstack that contains the counterbore / sink hole into a Mechanical Symbol, add keepout areas etc. as you would normally for a fixing hole, then when you place the mechanical symbol into a board file you can mirror this - hence the countersink / bore would be on the bottom side.

Thanks for your comment but doing so we have to change the library and there a great risk of making error with using that methodology.

I am wondering why cadence provide the counter sink/bore from same side because most of the times we need these definitions from opposite sides.

    Thanks
