Hello,

I m using OrCAD 17.2 version and the it is working fine in admin login but, when I try to open the software in user login the tool enters into lite mode and doesn't open in licensed mode.

Kindly help me resolve this.

Thanks,

Shiv

Sounds like you installed it with your admin login instead of your regular user login.  It defaults to "only for me" when installing.  That means only for the account you are logged in with.

That way, you can have different people using the same computer with each of them seeing their own preferences.

Users do this often when clicking though an install.  I thought the InstallUtils/Installconfig utility allowed you to configure the env for a new users but it is not working for me...does anyone know how to change from a "Only for me" install to "Everyone on this pc" install?

Try running the InstallConfig.exe with a right click - Run as Administrator and see if that helps.
