how to open a .brd file in capture

Hi all

Is there a direct way to open .brd file in capture or i need to export it as something else? I'm using 17.2

    No but you can use PCB Editor or PCB Editor Lite if you don't have a licensed version. There is also an allegro_free_viewer.exe located in the installation folder

    ty for your reply but i want to run simulation in capture of a .brd pcb file. is it possible?

    No, you need to Extract the topology from the routed board in PCB Editor to simulate the drivers and physical interconnect - use the Option to Extract Routed Interconnect to get the routed, rather than "ideal", non-routed, models of the connection. The simulation takes place in SigXplorer (without and Sigrity SI licenses)
