Thermal Pad Spoke Angle

Emmett
Emmett over 7 years ago

Hello,

I am a newbie to SPB17.2 w/ latest hotfix.

I have created the padstacks that I need for my 1st PCB.

I used a circle for the thermal pad and not a flash symbol.

When I pour copper, the spokes are vertical and horizontal.

I would prefer 45° angles (better for tightly spaced arrays of pads).

Is there a global setting or anything?

Thanks,

Emmett

Hi, In the PCB Editor go to Setup > Design Parameters > Edit global dynamic shape parameters > "Thermal Relief connects" Tab you have a bunch of options there to choose from !

    Paul.

    Thanks for the reply.

    That's exactly what I needed.

    Thanks,
