More PCB drawing issues

Hello,

I've imported a DXF of a very simple board file that contain 6 "holes". I select ALL and only the board outline itself moves. I tried grouping ALL and it only selects the board outline. I tried changing the holes to another layer; still cannot move the holes with the board outline, Is there any chance at all that these "drawing" tools are going to be updated to anything remotely resembling real CAD tools? Editing "points" is easily the worst idea I have ever seen in CAD (and I have been doing CAD for over 30 years and "seen it all"). If you are going to insist on using points, how about doing it intelligently? For instance, moving an outline from point A to point B i.e. select the lower left hand corner of a rectangle and moving it to 0,0 (or any other point in space) and have everything follow suit? I am so thoroughly perplexed as to how some aspects of this program can work so well, and other parts are as if the programmer decided the day before to go from selling coffee to designing CAD tools. Absolutely ponderous.

Please help

I didn't find the right solution from the internet.

Thank you

Well, its a little hard to know exactly what going on for sure. But, try this to move your imported DXF graphics. By the way I do everything in the Gen edit mode. I mean everything via  changing of the filters.

    1. During the importing of your DXF, map everything to ONLY one bogus layer like 'Board geometry/Wb Guide_lines"

    2. After importing your outline may be a shape while the holes are lines?  If so, make sure "lines and Shapes" are both toggled on prior selecting all the graphics to move.

    3. If everything lights up hover your cursor over the corner of your outline. Right click the mouse and select "Move" All graphics should be moving with your cursor. If so click on the "P" box at the bottom of the screen and type in 0,0. Hit the "Pick" button get all the graphics to snap to your design's origin.

    4. Now select your outline and change it the layer you like

    Should work I hope.

Another thing to do if your don't want to move everything to your design origin. Is to just move the origin instead.

    Cheers
