Change shape color while editing

Good afternoon all,

I use PCB Editor version 17.2.  I select a shape to edit.  Move my cursor over one edge to drag larger or smaller.  When I do this the shape edge I am moving changes to black.  How can I change this color as I use a black background and can not see the line as I am moving it.  I can change the background color to a lighter color and see the line as I am moving it, but find a black background is easier on the eyes.

Thank you,

Ken

Ken, this sounds like that your temporary Highlight color is set to Black in your design. Go to display and choose "Color/Visibility" which willl open the color dialog. In the left pane click on "Display", in the right pane
you can change the colors for various elements.

    Maybe that's it ?

    Paul.

Excellon1, thank you for the suggestion, unfortunately that is not it.  I have it set to yellow.  When I select the shape it highlights in yellow.  Once I begin to drag the edge it turns to black.

Hi Ken, this seems very bizarre.

Here is a picture editing a shape in 16.6, you can see that when I drag the handles I get a red line to indicate where the shape is expected to be. The shape is on the top etch layer.
If you don't see something similar post a picture of what you see at your end.

    Paul.

    Paul,

Thank you for the reply.  I actually have an old CPU with 16.6.  When I select the shape and drag it the line changes to red.  On 17.2 it is black.  So hopefully on the next update it will be fixed.

Hi Ken, I checked 17.2 ver SO42 that I have running on windows 10, same hardware as what I run 16.5 on and I can see the red handles on the shapes without issue.

By way of a suggestion, see if any video driver updates are available for your video card.. Updated drivers may fix things for you

    Paul.
