Logitech wireless m705 mouse does not pan

Hi

I just replaced my wired mouse by wireless Marathon M705 from Logitech. The panning by pressing the wheel does not work anymore instead it zooms in. Is there a way to fix it?

    I run with generic windows mouse drivers.  I never could get the Logitech settings to play nice with Allegro.  Also, it's a little hard to press straight down on the wheel to activate the pan function at first.  I ended up using the M510 for work because it seemed to have a better wheel feel.
