interlay drc solder mask

Hello, can you help with an interlay issue? our fpc have both cover lay and solder mask layers we open up the cover coat to let solder mask in at a negative plane. There is a gap distance of .5 mm for vendor registration. allegro interlay pick up the solder mask pin and solder mask shape. I just want the interlay drc to pick up shapes and not pins. can you help?

You should be able to achieve this (if I have understood you correctly). Make sure the masks and coverlays are added as layers in the cross section then use CM - Spacing - Interlayer, here you can use just geometries or vias and pins or conductors, so pick the mask layers from and to and make the DRC rule you need.

So try creating a new rules from geometries (layer1) to Pins and Vias (layer2).

Make sure that the pin has a pad on the layer (soldermask, coverlay) you are trying to get a DRC for. If it does can you put up a screenshot (with the detail) or a test board that has what you are trying to achieve and I or the forum may be able to help more.

drc's are detecting the paste layer. I wanted to use the pin layer(solder pad). Manufacturing gives us .2mm from edge of cover lay to the edge of etch(pin). Want to try and avoid any library changes.  The below drc are from paste layer. I want it to be from the solder pad. Blue is pin layer, pink is solder paste layer. Allegro doesn't see the pin layer for some reason.

    lay .
