SPB16.3 Schematic. How to create a dummy symbol that has no PCB footprint?

I am trying to create a library part of a schematic symbol that has no PCB footprint as a dummy part which will have no true connectivity. This is to add clarity to what a schematic is doing by displaying off board parts (power FET's etc) but that have wire termination points.

I have created a symbol, but packaging does not function as the items have no PCB footprint.

How do I instruct the packager to ignore these items (they do not have any Reference designators).

#1   ERROR(SPCODD-346): Unable to expand this design for packaging.  The chip~
s view was not found for cell 'igbt' in library '*******_lib'.
INFO(SPCOPK-1441): 1 errors detected

tances for the errors/warnings reported.

Hi. I've always done my off board parts as images (pictures). I place them on the schematic, and just 'dummy' wire to them. They look nice, but have no issues with packager. Hope this helps.

    Good day.

    Hi maybe try this.

In capture you can create TitleBlocks, these wont package and can contain graphic elements.

Open a symbol library of your choice and create a new symbol. Choose the symbol type to be a title block and give it a name. Draw your shapes etc, you can even add pictures to it. Save out your new title block.

Back in your capture schematic on the tool bar choose place title block. Use the dialogs to point to the library  that contains your title block. Place it on your schematic.

    Here is an example.

So you can see the new title block on the schematic page.

    All the best.
