Orcad 17.2 Can not open full version runs Lite version always

Hello,

I have Orcad 17.2 professional license but after licensing it I can't run the full version. It always runs in Lite version. How can I run full version of Orcad Capture CIS? Even I removed and reinstalled the license manager, still launches Lite version. Should I remove all orcad features and make a clean installation? Also I am having problem with licensing. I may have written path for cdslmd incorrect in the line DAEMON line. Can you please also tell me what for should be the path and how should be the format of that line?

Please help for the issue. Thank you

Best regards,

Ahmet

Can you try File>change Product menu and select appropriate license feature? You may have set OrCAD Lite as default license feature.

You need to close all open projects in order to access the File > Change Products menu.

If you do not see this menu item or it is grayed out after closing all projects, Please check if you have license server configured properly. This is done by setting CDS_LIC_FILE environment variable. Its value should be 5280@ yourmachinename .

You can set the license server by using license client Configuration Utility

That should not be the case. Please contact cadence support or your Chanel partner support team with details about error. All 16.6 schematics should open as is in 17.2.

    Dear Alokt,

Thank you very much that is what I did and now I can launch CIS Full version. Yesterday I have installed orcad but today I have uninstalled and re installed the product. Yesterday I could launch the CIS explorer but now I can't find it. Is there a missing installation or something? Also I have a hotfix DVD which is not by my side now but in the office, does that hotfix solves the version problem of opening 16.6 projects in 17.2?

    Best ragards,

    Dear Alokt,

When I use Capture CIS Lite, I can launch the CIS explorer but I cant see Orcad Capture CIS full version, I only have another product which is Orcad PCB Designer Proffesional and it does not include CIS Explorer. I have a professional license so there needs to be Capture CIS I think.

    Can you advice please

    Best regards
