Quick place window not visible completely

Hi,

I am using OrCAD PCB 17.2 with hotfix 049. The quickplace window is not visible completely, the place and unplace buttons are not visible. I had raised an SR to Cadence regarding this, and it is in waiting stage from a long time. Has anyone come up with any solution for this issue?

In my colleagues PC the same issue persists, but, when he hovers his mouse at the bottom the window, the quickplace window will scroll. How is it working in his system? Is there any settings to be changed in order to activate the mouse hover function?

Kindly help me with this issue.

Try closing PCB Editor, open a Windows Fie Explorer window and type %HOME% into the address bar followed by a return. This opens your HOME directory (C:\SPB_Data or Users\Yourusername\SPB_Data). Descend into the pcbenv folder and delete the allegro.ini file (stores the form locations). then restart PCB Editor and try again.

    Hi Steve,

I tried this, but still the same issue. How can I enable the scroll mode for that window?

The default size is not resizable and scroll bars are not usually required. What operating system and screen size are you running? Do they meet the minimum system requirements of PCB Editor. pcbsystemreqs.pdf
