Hotkeys only occasionally working in pcb editor

Title mostly says it all, some times hotkeys work  some times not. Same edit modes, e.g., placement edit, having chosen a symbol, some times 'r' rotates the symbol and sometimes RMB and mouse moves seem to be be the only option. Would be very happy if someone could help shed some light, this seriously impacts work flow.

I'm using the latest version of professional.

    Hello, I had an issue with hotkeys in S048 - SO49 IN 17.2. The issue was related  to a new command window history getting implemented. The fix that worked for me is. Under user preferences go to

     ui - general and uncheck enable_command_window_history.

    See if that helps.
