Importing DXF file as board outline deletes everything - 17.2

I have imported a DFX file as my board outline per the procedure in the following post. After doing so,  the board outline appears to be updated, but everything else in the file disappears (title block, components, etc). I am using version 17.2. How can I only modify the outline layer and leave everything else unchanged?

    Yep, a dialog box is needed: "Are you sure you want to lose everything?"

    But, you need to always check [ ] Incremental Addition box on the right side of the import dialog before clicking [ IMPORT ]
