Artwork for bottom layers

cyrob
cyrob over 6 years ago

I'm using 17.2

I would like to show the bottom layer assembly and silk view with just the board mirrored but not the title block.  How do i do this?  The 'Film mirrored' checkbox under the artwork control form mirrors individual pages but mirrors all data including the title block text.

This is my first board to manufacturing: is it normal to mirror all bottom layer views (silk/assembly/paste/solder mask)?

It looks like the XY pin one data for components on the bottom layer are based on looking through the board, i assume this is expected?

Thanks

I almost always use IDF export/import to do this - pretty simple. 1) Zoom into the board so that's all that shows; turn on the layers you want shown in the assembly drawing; set all the subclasses to a preferred color; Export IDF. 2) Import the IDF, BUT!!! RMB --> MIRROR the import;  turn on the Manufacturing layer to the PEN(s) it output and see if that's what you want for the assembly drawing. If so, add that new subclass to your Assembly Sheet2 detail.

    When is RMB>Mirror applied?

Before import > idf > select file > import?

    I am using 17.2 version.

When importing and the tool prompts you for the 'origin' to place the subdrawing, do the RMB/Mirror; then pick where you want to place it.

Are you with OrCAD PCB or Allergro?

In my Options: I can only select Active Class and Subclass where the import file will go. I don't see Mirror option.

I'm using Allegro. You should have as a minimum Mirror and Rotate as options when you File/Import/IDF and using the RMB (right mouse button).
