Has anyone figured out how to edit a drill chart after it has been placed on a sheet?

The 'help' says to select it and click on Edit Template from the Context Menu.  Problem is that Edit Template is greyed out.

First day fighting, er, I mean trying to use this software to do something useful and this is as far as I got.

The goal is to add two more columns for Start Layer and End Layer.

Edit Template is grayed out because that command edits the template library, not that instance.  Template library update is a license option that is included with the Blueprint1000 license level.

But, here is the method:  https://www.downstreamtech.com/bp-techtips/bp-tips-drill-charts.php

(with version 6, Fabrication Manager in the new UI is right under the File Menu tab in the upper left.)

Once you set up a drawing package, it can be easily re-use as a template for future boards.

Side note:  if engineering management won't buy this and whines about Allegro and HFSS licenses costing more than their car, walk away.

Show it to your manufacturing and quality people.

Not needing an Allegro license to create *that* level of assembly and fabrication detail *without the Allegro designer* has caused extreme happiness and is the best tool to solve the "never built the same way twice" problem that Quality deals with.

Wow, thanks RFinley!  I never would have guessed the tool was so limited.

I'll definitely look into the link you posted and thanks plenty for sharing!

Customizing templates is an added cost option liked uVia functions in Allegro.  Not everyone needs it.

Blueprint in any form is the dream assembly drawings solution for the electronics industry.  Everyone should have it.
