gerber file extensions

what are the file extensions that I will be sending to a manufacture after my board design is complete?  I have to take an extra step and have files run through a "data scrubber program" after leaving my secure server.  This program will only work with ASCII based files.  I know there are (.art) files, are there any other type of files pcb manufactures need from OrCAD pcb design.

    1) Gerbers (normally .art or .pho or .gbr extension ; the extension doesn't matter, except to your preference). Can be supplied as a folder

    - All PCB layers, individual gerbers

    - Top/Bottom silkscreen

    - Top/Bottom soldermask

    - Drill file(s) - normally a .drl extension

    2) Your fabrication drawing - .pdf file works great (or you can submit as gerber too)

    3) Optional: ODB++ in case your fabricator can use that in lieu of gerbers (and saving NRE costs)

    4) Optional: An approved supplier stackup detail even if you have the details in your fabrication drawing.

you should ask this question to your manufacturer first as to what kind of gerber format they need.

FYI - I've not encountered a problem with Gerber 274X (either 2,5 or 3,5 format) yet with suppliers, onshore or offshore. I still prefer ODB++, but give gerbers also, just in case. BR
