Regarding importing and eding of Eagle PCB boards to Allegro PCB Designer 17.2 linux version?

Hi i have some of my eagle PCB layouts. And i want to shift it and edit it on my  allegro pcb designer linux version 17.2. But i am not able to find any option for doing this . Please help me out?

    You can import these (well xml versions) directly into Allegro, File - Import - CAD Translators - Eagle PCB. Press the Help button for more info.

    In the Allegro PCB Designer linux 17.2 version . I have not found the option for Eagle in import option. What should i do to get the import option for eagle?

    Make sure yo are running the latest version so 17.2-2016 S058. You cna see the version number from help about and get updtes from http://support.cadence.com or Download Manager.

    As you can see there is no option of Egle Provided so what should be done?

    So what version of software are you running from Help - About? If it isn't 17.2016 S059 (now)  then as per my previous message get the latest version and try again.......

    Its Version 17.2-2016 S017 [4/10/2017] Linux SPB 64-bit Edition. Is it Ok or i have to update this?

    I can't remember exactly when the Eagle translator was added but it's there for me and I'm running the latest hotfix. I am running the Windows version though but can't imagine they would be different. Get to the latets version and give it a try.

    Try typing ns_eagle2allegro followed by a return at the command line and see if anything starts. It could be that you have custom menus or that the translator does not support Linux. It's certainly there for the Windows version.

    As Steve says: obtain and install the latest hotfix for 17.2 ( Seems you are using 17.2 with an old hotfix (S017)

    Latest one is S058 (now); i think Steve have a keyboard with "8" and "9" to close Slight smile

    As suggested i have updated to S058, but still i am not able to get the Eagle translator.
