PDF Export

I want to export PDF using the PDF export from File drop down. This works fine when I have just the base 17.2 version installed. Any idea how to fix?

Which exact version are you running now? This issue may be down to the version of GhostScript in use but my installation of 17.2-2016.s060 works fine with GS version 9.26 32-bit, even though this form implies that a 64-bit version of GS is needed. The issue may also be down to the exact details of the path and design name in use and nothing related to the GS version and PS / PDF conversion stage of PDF Export.

OK, the Base Release may have "burped" on the Capture.ini, try deleting that file with Capture closed, location in Capture Session Log when you start Capture. You will need to restore any settings, like configured libraries, but a new Capture.ini may fix this. Otherwise, you will need some more direct interaction with Cadence, or a Channel Partner to get this issue investigated.

I've now had this error message for years. Way back in 16.4 or so it used to be possible to export PDF and it was a great feature.

I use the Adobe Distiller, have the latest version fully updated etc. but I've tried using Ghostscript etc. Went through debug steps for days, deleting capture.ini etc. at one point. Even completely removed OrCad and reinstalled from base release. Does not work anymore.

In 17.4 I don't even get an error message. Just fails silently, no error log messages, no popup window, thoroughly dead.

I can still print to PDF but it doesn't have the data base features, bookmarks and other features I used to love about PDF export.

The only other clue is that there is a pile of error messages in the Command Window on startup about "can't find package EMA_StartPage" I've also had this for years, nobody at Support seems to have a clue. I don't get a Start Page.

See my notation (8 days ago) for the possible fix. I've had the issue of Capture not recognizing the GS stuff (for whatever reason).
