Hi Everyone,

Is there metadata in schematic or PCB files? And if so, how do I view it and can it be edited or removed?

Not sure what you mean with metadata

Some path are stored in pcb file (exemple library path for ech package or padstack) and are not removable to my knoledge.

Edit time and last user are also stored but can but removed.

jc teyssier, that is basically what I am talking about, any kind of hidden information that can reveal the identity of the author of the files and/or any special information that is added to the files. My interest is mainly due to perhaps needing to share parts of a file like the schematic symbols or even footprints with people online to prevent the identity of clients from being identified. For instance, the example you provided like paths and stuff, the file structure could reveal the clients name or even the previous user that edited the file.
