Error with PCB Symbol Update (OrCAD 17.2)

Hi All,

Perhaps what I am trying to do will not work but as was discussed in my other forum posts, I am translating a board from Altium to OrCAD. I have got a lot of the issues settled but for the 6 footprints that will not Netlist properly by means of not replacing because of the pin name mismatch, I tried to replace the symbol with extra pad removed and I get the following error:

'X' symbol starting to refresh:

ERROR(SPMHNI-270): 1 pins found in the symbol in the physical design, but missing from library symbol. They are:

5_1

What would be the issue here? Is the only way to replace it by means of making a new netlist and manually replacing them? I was hoping to pre replace them and then do the new netlist but this does not look like it can be done.

Hi. Your netlist (schematic) symbol's pins do not match the PCB footprint. Check the schematic symbol vs the layout footprint. Good day.

I am getting that error before running the netlist. I am trying to see if I can replace the symbol on the PCB before running the netlist option. The error above is when I have an unconnected PCB right after translating the PCB. I wanted to fix the PCB symbol before running netlist.
