dynamic shape and spacing

masamasa

i have a difficult time with figuring out how to manage this spacing issue.

i would like to place a dynamic shape between two clines with a 15um gap.

i set the spacing between cline and shape as 5um and the minimum aperture of gap width on the dynamic shape parameter as 5um.

but i can not get a dynamic shape between the two clines as shown below.

if i set the gap not as 15.00um but as 15.05um, i can get a dynamic shape between the two clines.

did i set up something wrong?

is this a roundup issue or a unit issue?

is there a way to place a dynamic shape with a 15.00um gap?

    Might be a tolerance issue.

You could try reducing the aperture gap slightly.

5um seems extremely thin for a PCB trace.

    thank you for your reply.

i just gave the 5um traces as an example.

i am actually designing 1.5um traces on a package (not a pcb).

so a 0.05um difference is critiacal if designing 200 traces in one row.

i am in this forum as the allegro package designer uses the same pcb editor and most of all i am not getting any response in the ic packaging forum.
