17.4 tool_PC speed and tool crash

Any of you have experienced the PC becoming slow after installing 17.4 and the tool capture/pcb crashing frequently. One of my colleague is having this issue. Any quick remedies?

  • All I can say is I have found 17.4 to be dramatically faster than 17.2 on machines having like an NVidia graphics card (not just the Intel 630 built-in graphics). 

    Cadence re-wrote the UI from the ground up to make it less susceptible to Microsoft updates.  I think a lot of people are trying to forget that ever happened..
