OrCAD Capture Updating Library Path after software version migration

Hello. I did a schematic design in OrCAD Capture as part of OrCAD PCB Designer version 17.2. In that design, I used many of the built in schematic symbol libraries with a library path on the C: drive (with the version 17.2 in the path). I then upgraded the software version to 17.4, and want to edit the design that was started in 17.2. I'd like to migrate the design's built in libraries to the new 17.4 version of them. How do I do this?

Thanks,

Gabe

I believe you can replace the prefix of the path.  Select your DSN file in the project manager.  >Tools  >Utilities > Replace Path in Design Cache.

But, I don't think you have to fix every legacy schematic cache path.  Mac users keep putting our library on the Y: drive.  So, only those who can drive map can update the symbols cached in the design.

If the design ships wrong because of this, it's on them to update the cache before giving me the DSN file.  But, in almost five years, we haven't had a problem.

The symbols are stored with the schematic.  Only time you really have to worry about it is if you change a pin, etc.
