Urgent Question about Downrev from 17.4 to 17.2

I have tried to downrev form 17.4 to 17.2. I choose Setup-User Preferences-Drawing and choose database_compatibility_mode to 17.2.  Then export downrev to 17.2. When I tried to open design in 17.2 it still shows it designed from 17.4 so cannot opened design.  I wonder if my operation is correct and how can I convert 17.4 edtion to 17.2 edtion?

    Hello,

When you set database_compatibility_mode to 17.2 it will open any 17.2 databases in 17.4 without updating the database to 17.4 allow the saved design to be opened in 17.2.

If you already accidentally saved the design to 17.4 then File > Export > Downrev design can be used to save the 17.4 design back to 17.2 database format.

NOTE: Any newly created databases in 17.4 will not be saved in 17.2 database format even if database_compatibility_mode is set to 17.2

    Hope this helps,
    Mike Catrambone
