dynamic shapes not moving with group

archive
archive over 20 years ago

I have created several groups in my design. These groups consist of components, clines, vias and dynamic shapes. When I select a group to move, the dynamic shapes are not selected with the group therefore do not move with the group. These shapes ARE part of the group.

Note: One of the components in the group has a shape built into the symbol. This shape does get selected with the group and does move with the group.

This is a known issue with dynamic shapes. A PCR has been filed and I think it is planned to be resolved in 15.5. This was discovered in Design Reuse methodolgy which makes heavy use of groups.

Is there any known workaround for this problem yet? I have 18 Design Reuse modules in my current design and each module has 8 dynamic shapes. Any ideas on how to keep these selections together?
