package height property

Hello all,

I'm currently using bothng Allegro 14.2 in Unix platform,
and Allegro 15 windows version.

We use Viewlogic (Innoveda) for our net list, and are trying to import the component height as part of the schematic symbol so that it get translated to Allegro,
then later on we can generate solid models of the pcb in PROE.

I have included the ""HEIGHT"" property with a value in ""inch"" units as part of the device file in the schematic, on the Allegro side I have
added the text ""HEIGHT"" to the shape on the ""PLACE_BOUND_TOP"" in the ""package geometry"".

I have revised the ""allegro.cfg"" config file to reflect
this property.

When I generate the netlist, there are no errors, and the
device output seems OK, however when I import the net list into Allegro, I get the error message:
""ERROR"" Property 'HEIGHT' is not defined for components.

Does Anyone know how to bring this info into Allegro from VIewlogic and ORCAD?

Any help on this is greatly appreciated

Thanks

    You will need to include the property in a previously imported Tech file.
    Something like:
    (allegroTechFile ""myprops.tech""
    (revision ""14.0"")
    (techFileProperty
    (propertyName ""HEIGHT""
    (propertyDataType REAL)
    (propertyUnitsString ""INCHES"")
    (propertyElementList COMP_DEF REF_DES)
    )
    )
    )
