17.4 License Manager question

redwire

Now have two distinct licenses: one is HOSTID based (MAC address) the other is the old FlexLM key

For some reason after installing 17.4 using the MAC license, that license manager is set up to run after reboot which I don't want.  I have to use the FlexLM tools to shut it off to activate the dongle based license.

I can't find where this is starting.  I would rather choose which service I want.  Just trying to figure out where the settings are that are kicking this license manager off after reboot....ideas?

Thx

I think I may have fumbled this on a coffee deficit..  Flexlm license servers start as a windows service.  Hang on.

Here is a good overview of what is going on:

You may have two license server installs fighting for the same tcp port.  The old one can be easily disabled by finding the old license file and renaming it, in case you need it again later.

OK, just found it using lmtools.  I see where Cadence installed *another* service to start which is not the same as the service I set up manually.  Sneaky... but thanks your reply helped trigger my brain.
