Capture Edit object properties: change multiple parts of same type at same time

Hello,

I use OrCAD capture CIS 17.2-2016. I have capacitors and resistors where I need to change the manufacturer part number. Suppose I have a 1nF of a part number that appears 20 times. Is there a fast way to change the manufacturer of all 20 of them at the same time? Right now I am in the property editor and have to scroll and copy paste a lot. I am scared to paste over to the wrong row.

I understand that is usually the job of the library, but the person who runs the common library is frequently busy.

Thanks,

Frank

Use the FIND command and select all 1nF (filter parts only).  The list of components will appear in the find window.  Select them all.. Right mouse -> Edit Properties.

From there the old style spreadsheet editor will let you edit all 20 parts at once.  Change first one.  Copy it.  Click on header of column.  Paste.  All 20 take on the value.
