convert psm file to bsm file (package to mechanical symbol)

Hi all,

I downloaded the board outline data as an psm extension file,

but I want to use with mechanical symbol so I want to convert to bsm extension file.

so I tried to change the extension intentionally to bsm, but it couldn't import at the board

how can I convert to bsm or how can I modify the file?

  • Make sure none of the pins have any pin number text (Package Geometry / Pin_Number), if they do use Edit - Delete and remove just the text, then go to Setup - Design Parameters - Design tab and change the type from Package to Mechanical, then save and a filename.bsm will be written.
