OrCad 17.2 cannot select components

Hi,

I am on OrCad 17.2 and I keep running into issue where I just cant select and highlight a compenent. This is for schematic capture (not PCB). Can someone please help.

The only way I can stop is to shutdown the program and restart again. Seems it enters placement mode but never exits out.

  • The first thing to try us make sure you are running the latest hotfix for 17.2 (which is S073). You can see from either the Start Page or from Help - About. You can download hotfixes from either http://support.cadence.com or by using the Download Manager app (installed by default). You'll need a COS account to be able to access either of these.
