Fiducial pin used as datum dimension origin. Changing the fiducial deletes all dimensions. how to fix?

A fiducial (pin) is used as the datum dimension origin on many of our designs. We are changing the fiducial symbol name and size.

Replacing the fiducial deletes all datum dimensions. 

This will be a problem updating the fiducial on designs. 

Is there any way to keep the dimensions from being deleted?
