Default symbol name character limit

Does anyone know what the default character limit is for a symbol name? (.psm or .dra) Can this be changed? Where do you make the change?
Lots of questions, I know but really appreciate the help.

You should find SourceLink solution 11072282 - Length limitation and acceptable characters for use in netlists and Allegro elements, helpful.

Also, you can set the variable 'allegro_long_package_name' to increase the limits to 256 characters, but this variable must be set on any system using longer file names. You will have to edit your local ENV file and add the following line to set the variable (then restart Allegro).

    set allegro_long_package_name

Make sure you add the line 'above' the User Preferences section.

    Hope this helps!
