"Part List: Filtered" problem

Firas Abdel Ghani

Hi,

While working with Cadence 16.5, the "Place Part" search sometimes get stuck on certain values.

for example, in a library called "resistors", the search is stuck on 49 Value, and while I try to search for new value, nothing happens.

you can see that the 49 value appears in Part List Filtered below the search bar.

what does that mean? and how can I cancel it?

Best Regards,

Firas

In the pic it looks like you did a search using the * in front, like *49 which is ok to do but keep in mind that search will be looking across all of the libraries which are "Highlighted" in the Libraries box. Using a * value is kind of a wildcard search for something specific.

Anyway to clear the search put your cursor at the end of the 10K and use the backspace key to get rid of it and then press the enter key.

When you do a wildcard search and then you want to search for something else like the 10K it wont work because the search is still filtered by 49. You have to clear the search first so you don't see the "Parts List filtered"

    All the best.
