Problem with working off site using Allegro PCB Designer

Problem with working off site using Allegro PCB Designer. It’s a preference issue- Cadence software, on my off site computer, apparently, is constantly searching for the license file, thru my DSL internet connection, creating a long lag time between commands and while editing. Is there anyway to resolve this issue? Maybe have the software only look for the license when activating or saving the job? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Make sure that your CDS_LIC_FILE variable is set to only look on your local machine for the license file.

    Hi Tacoma,
If the license file isn't on your computer, make sure that the CDS_LIC_FILE is pointing only at the computer that has the license it is using.

I have same, odd behaviour. My CDS_LIC_FILE is set as you suggested & the delays are still in.
    Any other comment?

Is your design and software you are working with on your local machine? If not, that can cause a large delay.
