Moving from freelists.org to the CDNUSERS.ORG forum

Many of us moved  from another CAD tool to Allegro and from my perspective that was a very big change for me. When I look back I see how silly my reaction to the change was at the time. My only problem with this site so far is the font size.
Well lets see how this plays out

I'm using mozilla to view this forum - and I set the View - Text Zoom to 150%. This increased the size of all text to a very easy to read size.

I tried Internet explorer and could not affect the text, but on my PC, Netscape did use this setting.

    Maybe that will help.

Also Internet Explorer 7, which is currently in Beta, has the ability to set a Zoom Level as well.  Using Internet Explorer 6 you have the ability to change the text size via the View pulldown but for some reason it has no effect to the text on the cdnusers.org web site.  My two cents.

Barbara, of course I'm using Internet Explorer and I don't think that this forum should force people to us a different web browser. But this is why I started this thread, to see how it works and what I like and don't like about it. So after just one post and one reply this is what I see.

1.) I can't see your reply while I'm responding to your coments ( Ok, I just clicked the Show replies button below, I'm learning )

2.) I'm not the best typist so I can't run a spell checker
3.) The browser font size issue is a problem
4.) I can't paste any text into this window from an email or .doc ( see #2 )

      Thanks

I just pasted this quote from your earlier reply into this reply window.

I am copying and pasting the next sentence from a word doc:

Is anyone attending an industry conference this next month to be our eyes and ears for papers

Wow, thanks Linda I didn’t actually try the cut/paste from a word doc. ( my bad )

What I just did was copy your reply into a word doc ( the font on the forum is set to 6.5 )

And increased the font to 12. This is much more work but it does work.
