DRC Error not displayed when Package to Package spacing is not sufficient

Hi 

I have designed my packages with Place Bound properties. But in case when i place two packages on top of each other, I am

not getting any DRC Error displayed right away.

I can see that it is being shown in Design Status Window.

But i want to turn on DRC Error which shows it immediately when 2 packages are on top of each other/very close to each other.

  • This is working for me so make sure you are up to date with hotfixes, latest are 17.4-2019 S023 or 17.2-2016 S079. Also make sure that the DRCs are turned on (Display - Color/Visibility - Stackup - Package_Top and _Bottom). Menu entry is different if you are using OrCAD so Setup - Colors - Stackup - Package_Top and _Bottom.
