Board Design Outline expanded

Hi

I designed a PCB based on a previous design(dsn and brd) files. This new PCB has more components than the earlier one.

I hadn't changed the design outline on the new design.I just got feedback from Mechanical department that Board Design outline has gotten bigger. On earlier design it had diameter 56mm while on the new one it is 58mm.

Design outline was not set as FIXED on the previous one. Does it have anything to do in this case?

Some of my mounting holes on PCB in earlier design had their Place Bound dimensions outside the Board Design Outline.

The design_outline will only change IF you make the change, either manually or via an MCAD import (IDF, IDX for example). You may have both a Board Geometry / Outline layer and Board Geometry / Design_outline layer so you may have sent one design using one subclass and another using the other but that's just a guess. Ideally you should only use Design_outline for the board profile going forward.
